Terms and Conditions
Terms & Conditions - Liv Cornall Design

Last Updated: August 2026

Welcome to Liv Cornall Design (www.livcornall.com). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website and set out the basis upon which we supply our hand-crafted furniture, lighting, and homeware ("Products") to you.
Please read these Terms carefully before ordering. By browsing this website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. General Information & About Us

Business Name: Liv Cornall Design (operating as a sole trader)
Designer Maker & Founder: Olivia Cornall
Workshop Location: Sussex, England
Website: www.livcornall.com
Email: info@livcornall.com
Workshop / Correspondence Address: Unit 33 Bridge Farm, Barcombe Mills Road, Lewes, Sussex, BN8 5BX, UK
Every piece is designed by Liv Cornall and hand-crafted with high quality and care in our Sussex workshop, either individually to order or in small handcrafted batches.

2. Pricing, VAT & Payment

All prices on the website are in GBP (£). Delivery fees are calculated and applied at checkout based on the size and logistics required for each piece.
We are not currently registered for VAT; prices shown do not include or attract VAT.
Because materials are procured and work is scheduled specifically for you, full payment is required upfront at checkout via our secure payment gateway.
We accept major credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
An order is accepted and legally binding once you receive our automated order confirmation email. We reserve the right to cancel or refund an order in the rare event of an inadvertent pricing error or material supply constraint.
3. Production Lead Times

Every piece is crafted by hand. Production lead times average approximately 6 weeks, and up to 12 weeks for larger bespoke furniture pieces (such as the Lounge Chair, Low Tide Table, or cabinets).
Quoted lead times are realistic estimates based on current workshop capacity. Because timber is a natural material requiring careful acclimatisation and craftsmanship, slight variations can occur. We will keep you updated by email if any unexpected workshop delays arise.

4. Cancellations, Returns & Damaged Deliveries

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Pre-Production Cancellation Grace Period
If you need to cancel your order, please contact us at info@livcornall.com within 7 calendar days of purchase for a full refund before timber is purchased, milled and allocated to your build.
Standard Made-to-Order Catalogue Items (Returns for Change of Mind)
For standard designs ordered directly from our website without custom dimensional specifications, you have the legal right to cancel within 14 calendar days from the date the item is delivered.
The customer is strictly responsible for arranging, fully insuring, and paying the complete cost of return shipping back to our Sussex workshop. For large furniture, this must be via an approved, dedicated two-person furniture courier.
Returned items must arrive in their original, unused condition with complete packaging. Under UK consumer regulations, we reserve the right to deduct an amount from the refund if the value of the goods has diminished due to handling, improper repacking, or transit damage on return.
Bespoke & Custom-Specified Furniture
Where a piece has been crafted to your bespoke dimensions, custom wood selections, personalised finishes, or tailored specifications, the right of cancellation and return for change of mind does not apply, in line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 exemption for goods made to consumer specifications or clearly personalised. Bespoke orders cannot be cancelled or returned once production has begun following your initial 7-day grace period.
Damage in Transit & Courier Insurance Requirements
You must inspect your delivery upon arrival. Any damage in transit must be reported to info@livcornall.com within 48 hours of delivery, accompanied by clear photographs of the damage, the packaging, and courier labels. This strict window is necessary to validate our courier insurance claims. Upon verified transit damage, we will arrange and pay for the collection of the damaged piece and place a replacement item into our workshop schedule as a top priority, or issue a full refund if a replacement is not possible.

5. Delivery, White-Glove Couriers & Access

We currently supply and deliver to UK mainland addresses only.
Large furniture and large lighting are delivered via Proovia, a dedicated two-person white-glove delivery service featuring route updates and scheduled delivery slots. Clocks and smaller homeware are dispatched via tracked parcel couriers such as Royal Mail or Evri.
Title to the Products passes upon receipt of full payment. Risk of loss or damage in transit remains with Liv Cornall Design until the Products are safely delivered to your nominated address.
It is the customer's sole responsibility to ensure that large furniture items will fit through building entrances, doorways, corridors, tight turns, stairwells, and into the final room. Please measure your spaces carefully before placing an order. If delivery cannot be completed due to restricted access, structural blockages, or customer absence during a confirmed delivery window, any re-delivery, storage, or return freight charges levied by the courier are the customer's responsibility.

6. Assembly, Wall Fixings & Electrical Safety

All freestanding furniture is delivered fully constructed and ready to enjoy. No flat-pack assembly is required.
For wall-mounted pieces such as clocks and shelving we supply handmade wooden brackets or suitable mounting hardware, alongside installation guidance. Customers must supply their own standard installation tools, such as a power drill, drill bits, a spirit level, and a pencil, and select wall fixings suitable for their specific wall substrate, whether plasterboard, solid brick, or stud timber. We accept no liability for damage or injury caused by incorrect installation or unsuitable wall fixings.
All electrical lighting pieces, including the Flow Floor Lamp, are fully PAT tested (Portable Appliance Tested) for electrical safety prior to leaving our workshop. Customers must adhere strictly to recommended bulb types and maximum wattages. Do not expose indoor lighting to moisture, and ensure any future electrical repairs or rewiring are handled by a qualified electrician.

7. Natural Materials & 1-Year Craftsmanship Guarantee

We work with genuine solid hardwoods and real wood veneers. Natural variations in wood are authentic hallmarks of quality craftsmanship and are not considered defects. These include variations in grain configuration, figure, natural tone, and texture; natural seasonal movement such as slight expansion, minor contraction, or slight cupping as timber adjusts to ambient room temperature and humidity; and natural maturation or subtle colour changes over time from exposure to natural light.
We offer a 1-year Craftsmanship Guarantee from the date of delivery, provided in addition to your legal statutory rights under UK law. This covers structural, jointing, or manufacturing defects resulting from workshop construction under normal, domestic indoor use. It does not cover normal domestic wear and tear, accidental drops or impacts, liquid stains, improper cleaning chemicals, heat damage such as positioning near radiators or stoves, or natural consumable parts after reasonable use, such as standard quartz clock movements or cord switches. If your piece ever suffers an accident or needs care advice after the guarantee period, please reach out to us. We are always happy to advise on refinishing, natural waxes, and maintenance.

8. Website Use & Intellectual Property

All designs, furniture concepts, photography, styling, brand graphics, and copy on this website are the exclusive intellectual property of Liv Cornall Design and are protected under UK and international copyright and design right laws. Unauthorised copying, reproduction, distribution, scraping, commercial exploitation, or reverse-engineering of our designs or imagery is strictly prohibited.

9. Counterfeit Sellers & Scam Warnings

Liv Cornall Design furniture and homeware is sold exclusively through our official website (www.livcornall.com) and our official Etsy shop. We do not sell through any other website, marketplace, third-party retailer, or wholesaler.
If you see a listing elsewhere, including on other websites, marketplaces, or social media, advertising Liv Cornall Design pieces (such as the Flow Floor Lamp) for sale, particularly at a discount or "sale" price, please treat this with caution. Unless the listing is clearly and explicitly advertised as a genuine second-hand or pre-owned resale by a private individual, it is not an authorised or official Liv Cornall Design listing, and we cannot guarantee the authenticity, quality, or safety of the item being sold. Please contact us if you find something that is presenting such an offer.
Similarly, we only communicate with customers through our official website, our official Etsy shop, and our official Instagram and Facebook accounts. If you receive a message, email, or offer that appears to be from Liv Cornall Design or Liv Cornall through any other channel, please do not trust it, click any links, or make any payment. If you are ever unsure whether a listing, account, or message is genuinely from us, please contact us directly at info@livcornall.com to verify before proceeding.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by English law, Liv Cornall Design shall not be liable for any indirect, special, or consequential losses, loss of business, or incidental damages. We accept no liability for damage resulting from improper wall mounting, unauthorized product modifications, or failure to observe care and safety instructions. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be legally excluded under English law.
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, including non-contractual disputes, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

12. Updates to Terms and Conditions & Contact
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Changes will take effect immediately upon being posted on the Site.
For any questions or concerns about these Terms and Conditions, please contact us at info@livcornall.com
