Frequently Asked Questions

Are your pieces made by hand?

Yes. Every Liv Cornall Design piece is hand-crafted to order in our Sussex workshop with quality and care.

Our furniture, lighting and homeware are made in small quantities rather than mass produced. Some popular designs, such as the Flow Floor Lamp, may be made in small batches when several orders are placed at a similar time.

Where are your products made?

All pieces are made in our Sussex workshop, in England.

Is it solid wood?

We use a combination of solid wood and real wood veneer, depending on which material is best suited to the individual design.

As wood is a natural material, each piece will have its own character, including variations in grain, tone and texture. Natural timber can also change over time due to its environment, including small amounts of movement, fading or colour change.

How long will my order take?

Most pieces are made to order and take approximately 6 weeks to produce.

Larger or more complex pieces, including the Ravella Cabinet, Flow Lounge Chair and Low Tide Table, can take up to 12 weeks.

These are estimates, and production may occasionally take a little more or less time depending on the piece, materials and workshop schedule. We will email you once your order is ready to arrange delivery.

Do you keep items in stock?

Most products are made to order. Occasionally, a popular item may be available from a small batch, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Where do you deliver?

We currently deliver to UK mainland addresses only.

If you live outside UK mainland—including Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and Islands, the Isle of Wight, Isle of Man or Channel Islands—please contact us before ordering. If you can arrange a suitable, reliable courier to collect from our workshop, we may be able to help on a case-by-case basis.

We do not currently offer international delivery.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery charges are shown at checkout and vary according to the size and delivery requirements of each item.

Eg. A Flow Floor Lamp including the shade will cost £40.

We subsidise part of the delivery cost to help keep delivery charges as affordable as possible. Each item has its own delivery charge, even where multiple items are purchased together.

You can collect your order from our Sussex workshop for free when you select that option at the checkout.

How will my order be delivered?

Large furniture and larger lighting pieces, such as floor lamps, chairs, tables and cabinets, are delivered through Proovia, a dedicated two-person furniture-delivery service.

Smaller pieces, such as clocks and homeware, may be sent with a tracked parcel courier such as Royal Mail or Evri.

Will I receive delivery updates?

Yes. For Proovia deliveries, you will be contacted by email and phone with a proposed delivery day and time slot, which you can accept or change where available. You will also receive updates when the item is dispatched, on the day of delivery and when the team is nearby.

For smaller parcel deliveries, tracking information will be sent automatically once your order has been dispatched.

Do I need to assemble my furniture?

No. Furniture is made and delivered fully assembled, so there is no furniture assembly required.

For wall-mounted pieces, we provide the hanging components supplied with that design, such as handmade wooden brackets where applicable. You may need your own basic tools, such as a drill, suitable drill bits and a pencil, to install the item safely. Installation instructions will be provided where possible.

Can I return my order if I change my mind?

Most standard Liv Cornall Design products are made to order using our usual designs and templates. For these standard, non-bespoke items bought online, you have a legal right to cancel within 14 calendar days of delivery. However please be aware that we are a very small business and put lots of care and time into all we do, so we hope that you are happy with your purchase.

For a change-of-mind return, you are responsible for arranging, insuring and paying for the return. Large furniture must be returned with a suitable two-person furniture courier. Items must be returned unused and in their original condition, with the original packaging where reasonably possible.

Please read our full Returns Policy or email us before arranging a return.

Can I cancel an order before it is delivered?

If you need to cancel, please contact us as soon as possible. We ask customers to get in touch within 7 calendar days of purchase wherever possible, before materials are prepared and production progresses.

For standard, non-bespoke items, your legal cancellation rights still apply. Pieces made specifically to your individual requirements—for example, bespoke dimensions, personalised details or custom material selections—may not be eligible for cancellation or return for a change of mind once production has started.

What if there is a fault with my piece?

All Liv Cornall Design pieces are covered by a one-year Craftsmanship Guarantee, in addition to your statutory consumer rights.

If you believe there is a fault with your item, please email Liv Cornall Design with your order number, a description of the issue and photographs where helpful. We will assess the issue and discuss the appropriate next steps, which may include repair, replacement or refund where required.

Normal wear and tear, accidental damage, improper use, and natural changes to timber over time are not generally faults. However, we are always happy to offer practical care advice where we can.

Are your lamps safety tested?

Yes. All electrical lighting items are PAT tested before they are sent out.

I have seen your furniture or lighting for sale on another website. Is it genuine?

Liv Cornall Design products are only sold through our official website and official Etsy shop.

If you see a Liv Cornall Design item—such as a Flow Floor Lamp—being sold elsewhere, particularly at a large discount or sale price, please treat it with caution. It is not an authorised listing unless it is clearly advertised as a genuine second-hand or pre-owned resale.

How do I know that a message from Liv Cornall Design is real?

We communicate through our official email address, Etsy shop, and official Instagram and Facebook accounts.

If you receive a message, email, offer or listing that appears to be from Liv Cornall Design but you are unsure about it, do not click links or make payment. Please contact us directly at info@livcornall.com to check that it is genuine.
